Brief Summary:
Stephanie Plum is a bounty hunter in New Jersey who works for her relative Vinnie.
Vinnie gets into debt and is being held by Bobbie Sunflower who demands the $786,000 Vinnie owes (plus interest bringing it to $1.3 million) be paid or Vinnie dies.
Lula and Connie from the office and Stephanie pull off a series of jobs raising the money and ultimately saving Vinnie and their own jobs.
Personal Review:
I am new to this series and author, but the whole four hours I was wondering where the “sizzle” of sizzling sixteen was. The sixteen part was easy, THAT is how many times I thought about throwing the CD out the window.
The reader (Lorelei King) had an excellent voice for the main character (Stephanie Plum) but stretched a bit for the supporting roles, although Lula was funny.
The premise for the story and characters was promising, the interactions believable, but in the end the book came across as a teenager attempting to write an adult work of fiction.
I do not think I will be attempting to sit through another of these novels.
